2008 GOTG Update
The Gathering of the Guard event in Danville VA was a great event. There were many moving speakers, good food, door prizes, raffles, and excellent road for some great riding.
Jeff and I stayed in his dad’s cabin, which is reported to be well over 200 years old. His family asked him to stay another day. After a LOT of discussion I finally convinced him that I was okay ridding home alone. I took Hwy. 58 through Jefferson Nat’l Forrest. WOW, what a ride! It may just be my new favorite road.
If you missed this years GOTG national event, there will be a TN GOTG starting on October 10 in Murfreesboro. See TN GOTG for details and links.

Our Ride to Beautiful Fall Creek Falls will be at 10:00am.

Since we will have the meeting room all weekend we will meet at The Sleep Inn.
Those staying at the Sleep Inn can leave bags locked up in the meeting room for the day, if no early check in.

Flag Pole Dedication Mission Saturday Morning In Nashville
We will be assisting in the dedication of a Flag Pole to a serving
US Marine Corps Sergeant and all the Veterans of Centre Star
The Boy Scouts will present the Colors followed by Pledge of Allegiance
Chaplain will have short scripture & prayer
Dedication of the Flag Pole
Lowering & Folding the Colors on pole & raising of Flag from Afghanistan
This will be done by National Sojourners in Colonial Uniforms
Toast to the Flag
Location: Centre Star Lodge, 4010 Whites Creek Pike, Whites Creek, TN
Just off of Briley Pkwy west of I-24

Dwayne Samford has graciously offered his property for us to gather. He's very excited that we want to be at his place. He's doing a lot of work to get it ready for events like this by investing in a covered stage for a band, fire pit ,horse shoes, picnic tables, great parking with even more to come. Dwayne has mentioned that a few of his customers and employees are interested in meeting us.
I am excited to announce It is CONFIRMED that Country Music Entertainer Rodney Watts will be with us!!! Rodney is an US Army Sergeant stationed at Fort Campbell
